Tembec's Forest Products Group, in alliance with Owens Corning, offer QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing as part of the Owens Corning QuietZone™ Noise Control System.

QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing is a fully assembled wood stud. It is quality manufactured and distributed by Tembec and consists of structural Tembec finger-jointed lumber connected to Selectem® Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL), using Owens Corning's patented acoustically resilient metal clips.

The clips are designed to break the path of noise vibrations that are normally transmitted through conventional framing lumber, thereby isolating noise from the rest of the structure.

Walls built with QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing can be installed using standard framing methods without the need for additional components or complex design details. QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing can be installed faster and at a lower cost than double stud walls or resilient channels for comparable Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings. When installed as part of a system that includes QuietZone™ Acoustic Insulation and Sealant; it will deliver Sound Transmission Class (STC) ratings up to 63, and is backed by a product warranty.

Ideal applications include party walls for multi-family or hotel/motel and home theatre media rooms. Wherever noise isolation performance and cost effectiveness are critical.
